Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are present in a Romanian court in relation to a UK arrest warrant
The UK issued arrest warrants for controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, who made an appearance in a Romanian court.
Due to accusations of sexual offences in Britain, Romanian police arrested the well-known figures on the internet on Monday night and issued arrest warrants.
The Court of Appeal in Bucharest delayed making a ruling on the warrant.
Representatives for Andrew Tate, 37, and Tristan, 35, stated that they "categorically reject all charges".
The men are still being held.
Two arrest warrants were issued by British authorities for defrauding individuals in the UK, according to Romanian Police.
The Tate brothers are "dismayed and deeply troubled," according to a representative for the brothers who called the arrest warrant as a "bewildering revival of decade-old accusations" before to the hearing.
"They categorically reject all charges and express profound disappointment that such serious allegations are being resurrected without substantial new evidence," added the statement.
"They are fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve."
According to their representatives, the accusations are from 2012 to 2015.
Andrew, sporting a black sweatshirt, and Tristan were led by police to court where they appeared in handcuffs.
When asked if he was ready to return home, Andrew grinned as they were leaving the courtroom. They said nothing to the assembled reporters.
Eugen Vidineac, the brothers' attorney, informed reporters after the hearing that he was unaware of any fresh evidence that the authorities had produced and that he did not know anything about the warrant.
Legal challenge over seized assets won by Andrew Tate
UK visitation to Andrew Tate's ailing mother was refused.
The self-described misogynist Andrew Tate
The Tate brothers, who hold dual US and UK citizenship, requested to see their mother in the UK hospital in December, and a Romanian court ordered them not to leave the country.
Authorities in Romania are looking into the brothers on suspicion of rape, human trafficking, and starting a criminal gang—all of which the brothers contest.
They are charged with abusing women through an adult content company that, according to the prosecution, functioned as a criminal organisation.
In an indictment released in June, the brothers were named together with two female Romanian friends, and seven suspected victims were included.
Mr. Tate has maintained that there is a plot to silence him and that Romanian prosecutors lack any proof against him.
He describes himself as a misogynist and has been blocked from using social media sites in the past for sharing misogynistic opinions.
