Billy Joel postpones the Toronto concert due to a medical issue

Billy Joel had postponed his Toronto tour date just days before it was supposed to begin.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the 'Piano Man' said that all of his future tour dates, including his March 15 concert at Toronto's Rogers Centre, will be delayed due to an undisclosed medical problem.
The Toronto event, the lone Canadian tour date, has been postponed until March 14 of next year.
The 'Uptown Girl' singer claims the delay will give him ample time to heal from recent surgery and begin physical rehabilitation under the supervision of his physicians. The tour will resume in a few months, starting July 5, 2025, at Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium.
"I regret having to postpone any shows, but my health must come first. I'm looking forward to getting back on stage and sharing the thrill of live music with our incredible audience. "Thank you for your understanding," the 75-year-old replied.
Saturday's gig would have been the first Billy Joel concert in Toronto in nearly a decade since the iconic singer last performed at the Scotiabank Arena on March 9, 2014.
Anyone who purchased a ticket to Saturday's show will be automatically eligible for the rescheduled concert in 2026.
