Former NHL Goalie and Hockey Broadcaster Greg Millen Dies at 67

The Toronto native formerly appeared on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada and NHL on Sportsnet.
Greg Millen, 67, a former NHL goaltender and long-time hockey broadcaster, has died.
The NHL Alumni Association reported his death on Monday but did not specify the cause.
From 1978 to 1992, Millen played 14 seasons in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hartford Whalers, St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques, Chicago, and Detroit Red Wings.
The Pittsburgh Penguins selected the Toronto native in the sixth round (102nd overall) of the 1977 NHL draft. Millen appeared in 604 games in his career, starting 582 of them, and had a 3.88 goals-against average and.873 save percentage.
"Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with Greg's family at this challenging time," the NHL Alumni Association stated in a statement posted on X, previously Twitter.

After finishing his career, he quickly got into radio, covering the Ottawa Senators during their inaugural season in 1992-93.
"The Ottawa Senators were very sorry to learn of Greg Millen's passing, the first ever Sens TV colour commentator and the popular national broadcaster. "Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all of his fans who enjoyed both his hockey career and his role in so many historic game calls," the Senators said in a statement on X.
Millen has also been on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada and NHL on Sportsnet. He covered three Olympic Games, two World Cups of Hockey, 12 Stanley Cup finals, and 12 NHL all-star games.
