Actor Song Jae Rim, Known for 'Queen Woo' and 'Two Weeks,' Passes Away at 39

Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim made his acting debut in the 2009 film Actresses.


On Tuesday, actor Song Jae Rim passed away at the age of 39. The actor was discovered dead in his Seongdong District apartment, according to confirmation from Seoul's Seongdong Police Station. According to a report in the Korean news portal Soompi, a two-page note was found at the scene. Although the reason for his death is still unknown, authorities say there aren't any indications of foul play at this time.


Song Jae Rim, born in 1985, was well-known for his performance in the 2012 drama The Moon Embracing the Sun after making his acting debut in the 2009 movie Actresses. Inspiring Generation, Two Weeks, Goodbye Mr. Black, Bad Girls, Our Gap-soon, Surfing House, Let Me Hear Your Song, Queen Woo, Flower Boy Ramen Shop, and Inspiring Generation are just a few of the well-known television dramas in which he later starred. Among his cinematic credits are Plop: A Man Who Lost His Business, Yacha, Bait, Crazy Love, The Suspect, and Grand Prix.


Song Jae Rim most recently performed in the play The Rose of Versailles, which ended on October 13. This play showcased his talent on stage in addition to his work on screen. Before his tragic death, this was his last project.
