Australia's premier airline hopes to entice Kiwis over the Tasman and into the Outback with discounts on "hundreds of thousands of flights."

Qantas, Australia's flag carrier and largest airline, has launched a massive discount on "hundreds of thousands of tickets" between Australia and New Zealand, targeting Kiwis planning their next trip across the ditch.

Beginning today, the Qantas Australia Sale offers New Zealanders the opportunity to fly to places across the continent at prices too low to pass up, with tickets available until 11.59 pm on Monday, March 24, unless sold out earlier.

The sale offers cheap flights to many of Australia's finest destinations, from the bustling urban jungle of Melbourne and the picturesque beaches of Sydney to the Queensland hotspots of Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay.

The Qantas offer is aimed exclusively at Kiwis planning a vacation, with discounted rates available only for flights that involve a return trip home to Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

The airline also promotes flexibility with its sales: travel dates on various flights are available throughout the school holidays, spring, and through 2026 until they run out.

The auction extends from April 29, 2025, to February 28, 2026, with available dates varying by route.
