UFC President White condemns fighter's Hitler comments as 'beyond disgusting'

UFC president Dana White has slammed boxer Bryce Mitchell's comments regarding Adolf Hitler as "beyond disgusting".
Mitchell, a mixed martial artist in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), stated that the German dictator was a "good guy" and that "the Holocaust ain't real".
The 30-year-old American, rated 13th in the featherweight class, made a number of antisemitic, homophobic, and transphobic remarks on the first episode of his podcast.
White stated, "When we read what Bryce said, we immediately contacted him and told him how we felt about it.
"But what he said was beyond disgusting, and he needs a real education on the facts surrounding Hitler and World War Two."
Despite White's denunciation, Mitchell, who last fought in December, has yet to face any consequences for his statements.
White said, "Hitler is one of the most vile and wicked human beings ever to walk the earth, and anyone who even attempts to adopt an opposing position is stupid.
"That is the issue with the internet and social media." "You give a platform to a lot of dumb and ignorant people."
As leader of the Nazi party, Hitler led Germany into World War II and ordered the Holocaust massacre, which killed six million Jews.
'A new low for MMA': Reactions pour in
Mitchell has competed in the UFC promotion since 2018.
Ariel Helwani, a Jewish Canadian-American combat sports writer, stated on X: "Every day, MMA finds a new low." A fresh technique of embarrassing itself and its admirers."
He added: external. "Nothing will be done, and I do not care if anything is done. Say whatever you want. It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly dumb, if not bigoted, some of the people involved in or linked with the sport can be.
In a statement to BBC Sport, the Anti-Defamation League's chief executive, Jonathan Greenblatt, said: "I'm shocked by this podcast interview. There are just no words.
"In just a few minutes, Mitchell expresses antisemitic, homophobic, and transphobic beliefs.
"We hope the UFC will take immediate action to make clear that these ideas are noxious and have no place in the sport."
