Sainsbury’s Expands ‘Your Nectar Prices’ to All Checkouts
Sainsbury's is bringing its Your Nectar Prices programme to checkouts across the UK beginning Friday, July 25, giving members of its loyalty system access to tailored deals straight at the tills for the first time.

The rollout expands on the retailer's effort for personalised loyalty, which has resulted in almost 17 billion bespoke discounts since its start.

Your Nectar Prices, which is currently available through SmartShop, Sainsbury's grocery app, and online, provides customers with up to ten weekly savings depending on their shopping habits.

Sainsbury's believes the discounts could result in over £150 in annual savings, with over one million consumers utilizing the feature weekly, saving a total of £60 million in the past year. 

To take advantage of the deals, clients must be digitally enrolled with Nectar and "tap to unlock" their personalized prices each Friday using the Nectar app or website before buying.  Once activated, discounts are automatically applied at checkout, whether in-store or online.

Mark Given, Sainsbury's chief marketing, data, and sustainability officer, stated: "Over the past few years, we've made enormous achievements with Nectar, with Nectar Prices playing a key role in that success, offering fantastic value to millions of consumers. 

"But what truly distinguishes us is that we are pioneering the way by making loyalty personal."  Shoppers want to feel recognized and appreciated, and while Nectar Prices are for everyone, we know our customers appreciate an offer designed just for them.  That is exactly what Your Nectar Prices provides: extra savings on the products that customers enjoy and purchase the most.

"Every week over a million customers are making the most of their personalised discounts and, by rolling this out to our checkouts, we're opening the door for millions more to grab fantastic offers on the items they already purchase and maybe even discover some new favourites." 

The move is part of Sainsbury's larger 'Nectar Prices' loyalty program, which provides discounts to all Nectar cardholders on thousands of common products.  Customers can mix both schemes for the best discounts.

Your Nectar Prices, which debuted four years ago, includes a wide range of categories such as fresh food, housekeeping, health and beauty, baby, and pet care.
