Stansted Express: Travelers Face Five Weeks of Major Disruptions

There will be no direct Stansted Express service between London and the airport.
Train services to Stansted Airport will be severely disrupted in the coming weeks due to planned repairs.
For the next five weekends, there will be no direct Stansted Express train service between the airport and London Liverpool Street.
This is due to scheduled engineering work on sections of the train rails between Stansted and Broxbourne.
Holidaymakers who intend to take the train to and from the airport in the coming weeks will have to use a rail replacement bus service for part of their journey.
Greater Anglia, which operates the Stansted Express service, has announced that there will be no direct trains from Stansted to London on February 22 and 23, as well as March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, and 23.
A substitute bus will transport passengers from Broxbourne, where the trains will stop, to and from the airport.
National Express coach service is reportedly adding 25,000 seats between London and Stansted Airport to help passengers arrive on schedule.
The coach services take about 45 minutes, as opposed to the Stansted Express's typical journey duration of 48 minutes.
National Express commercial director John Boughton commented on the expected disruption, saying: "We appreciate the considerable impact and annoyance that the upcoming rail disruption will have on travelers.
