Tour de France 2025: Vingegaard Backed by Van Aert, Yates for Visma-Lease a Bike

Jonas Vingegaard will be backed up by a strong Visma-Lease a Bike squad at the 2025 Tour de France, which includes Giro d'Italia winner Simon Yates.
With just over a week to the start, clubs are beginning to divulge details about their eight-man squads for the 112th edition's three weeks of action.
Vingegaard and Yates, two-time Tour champions, will be joined by previous green jersey winners Wout van Aert, Sepp Kuss, and Matteo Jorgenson, who won Paris-Nice twice. Tiesj Benoot, Victor Campenaerts, and Edoardo Affini round up the team roster.
"With these eight very strong riders, we believe in the plan we made for the Tour de France," the Visma news statement states. "To best support Jonas in the GC, we will need to work together from the start. In addition, numerous riders will be able to compete for stage wins. We are consciously focused on ourselves and our plans. We have optimal preparation behind us, and we believe we can achieve the best possible result."
Uno-X Mobility was the first team to provide details about its 2025 lineup, releasing the names of the riders going for Lille on Monday afternoon. General manager Thor Hushovd has chosen breakaway players Jonas Abrahamsen and Magnus Cort Nielsen to lead the team, along with Tobias Halland Johannessen, Søren Waerenskjold, and Andreas Leknessund.
After impressing in the last Giro d'Italia, Norwegian Stian Fredheim will make his Tour debut alongside fellow countryman and Tobias' brother, Anders Halland Johannessen. Markus Hoelgard will also make his debut at the race.
