Eden Hazard, renowned as one of the most illustrious players in Chelsea's storied history, has declared his retirement from professional football at the age of 32
In the 2012 summer, Hazard became a member of the Blues. With the now-famous tweet, "I'm signing for the Champions League winner," he announced his entrance.
The Belgian gained the affection of Chelsea supporters quickly. His brilliant cunning, reckless dribbles, and love of the spectacular goal contributed to Stamford Bridge winning more trophies.
Hazard played 352 games, scored 110 goals, and won four player of the year awards during his seven incredible years at Chelsea.
In addition to winning the League Cup, the FA Cup, and the Premier League twice, he concluded his career by defeating Arsenal in the 2019 Europa League final.
Real Madrid acquired Hazard in the summer of 2019. However, his legacy at Chelsea and the admiration he would garner from the club were long-established. Coming home to Stamford Bridge would always be welcome for him.
It has been slightly more than four years since Hazard left Chelsea. After departing Real Madrid at the conclusion of the previous campaign, he has made the decision to conclude his illustrious playing career.
Hazard posted on Instagram, saying, "You must listen to yourself and stay stop at the right time." "After 16 years and almost 700 games, I have made the decision to retire from the professional football league.
"I was able to fulfill my ambition and play on numerous pitches all over the world with enjoyment. I had the good fortune to work with many amazing bosses, coaches, and teammates throughout my career. I am grateful for these wonderful memories and will miss you all.
I'll miss every one of you. In addition, I would want to express my gratitude to the RBFA for my Belgian Selection and the clubs I have played for, LOSC, Chelsea, and Real Madrid. I would especially like to express my gratitude to my friends, family, advisors, and everyone who has supported me through good times and bad.
"To all of my fans, who have supported me throughout the years and have shown me love everywhere I have performed, I want to say thank you so much.
"It's time to enjoy my loved ones and explore new things right now. My buddies, I'll see you off the field soon."
