National Taco Day Celebrated with Special Offers at Metro Detroit Restaurants
Enjoy tacos? Other than "Taco Tuesday," there is another day this week to honour the modest meal.
October 4th is National Taco Day on Wednesday. Today is the day to honour the well-liked street cuisine. Every year, more than 4.5 billion tacos are consumed by Americans.

Tacos are just basic maize or flour tortillas; what distinguishes them is what's inside and on top of them.
Tacos, poultry, beef, and seafood can be made in a variety of ways, and there are endless ways to garnish them, from sliced radishes and guacamole to cilantro and onions.
Wednesday is the perfect day to order takeaway or prepare tacos at home, regardless of your preference for hard or soft shells. To celebrate the taco, a number of locations in the metro Detroit area are offering discounts on Wednesday and other days throughout the month.
There are plenty of eateries, taquerias, and taco trucks in southwest Detroit's Mexicantown if you're craving tacos and other Mexican-inspired cuisine around metro Detroit.
Tacos Condado.
National Taco Day and metro Detroit also Condado Tacos is offering complimentary tacos in honour of taco month in October. Members of the Condado Tacos app are eligible for a complimentary taco of their choice every month. This month, those who download the app will also receive complimentary tacos. In a setting with vibrant wall paintings, Condado Tacos is well-known for its assortment of create-your-own tacos, nachos, salsas, and margaritas.
Orange-glazed chicken tacos with ancho-orange chicken and spicy maple-orange glaze are part of a new fall limited-time menu. During happy hour, it costs $3 or $4. The Harvest Pear Margarita ($12, or $7 at happy hour) features a cinnamon sugar rim and fresh pear puree, making it a perfect falltime margarita option. There are seven Condado Tacos locations in Michigan.
De Taco
Through October 28th, the nationwide chain is celebrating "Tacoberfest" with a number of specials every week. Offers include complimentary fries, a free taco with purchase, an add-on of guacamole, and buy one, get one (BOGO) deals. The Del Taco website says that five snack tacos cost $3 on Wednesday. There are BOGO tacos during breakfast hours through October 7 and free tacos with any purchase all day long.
The Mexican Grill & Cantina On the Border
Tacos are $2 on Wednesdays at three sites in the metro Detroit area: Allen Park, Livonia, and Westland. Pick from tacos made with veggies, chicken tinga, or spiced ground beef. Southwest chicken or brisket tacos cost $4 as well.
Bell Tacos
The national chain reinstated its Taco Lover's Pass programme. Taco Bell's Taco Lover's Pass will be available on its app on Wednesday for $10. You can redeem a free taco every day for 30 days after the app loads. There are seven different tacos to select from, ranging from a fiery potato taco to a soft taco supreme.
