Taylor Swift shows her support for Travis Kelce during a Kansas City Chiefs game, coinciding with the release of her 'Eras Tour' movie in theaters
While on a break from promoting her film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," pop singer Travis Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos 19-8.
Taylor Swift watched Travis Kelce's greatest game of the season as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the visiting Denver Broncos 19-8 on Thursday night, taking a break from promoting her box office hit.
The music sensation was at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, and the Chiefs advanced to 5-1 on the season and 3-0 when she is in the house.
Swift watched the game from the line of sportscaster Erin Andrews in a luxurious suite with Donna Kelce, Kelce's mother, who was dressed in a red Chiefs jacket over a black tank top.
Women's wearable windbreakers sold out fast.
She saw Kelce record a personal season high of 124 yards receiving on Thursday. Only four days had passed since the tight end's hobbling departure from the field in Minneapolis, casting doubt on his availability for the contest.
And after catching a 5-yard throw from Patrick Mahomes, Kelce showed off a little flair of his own when he unpredictably lateraled the ball to teammate tight end Noah for an additional 7 yards, which resulted in a Chiefs field goal.
Following visits at Arrowhead on September 24, when Kansas City hosted the Chicago Bears, and at the October 1 "Sunday Night Football" game in New Jersey against the New York Jets, which attracted many Swifties to football for the first time, Swift attended the game in Kansas City.
On July 7-8, she performed twice at the Arrowhead Field in the Show Me state.
During one of those performances, Kelce notoriously neglected to offer Swift a friendship bracelet.
On Thursday, though, Swift was the one standing and applauding Kelce. Swift stood, applauded, and joyfully hugged quarterback Mahomes' wife Brittany after the quarterback delivered a 19-yard pass to Kelce, setting up Kansas City's first touchdown.
Patrick Mahomes was not questioned about Kelce and Swift during a post-game interview with Amazon Prime Video.
However, to the panel's amused moans, pundit and former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez gave the quarterback a friendship bracelet in the Swift style with the nickname "TrayTay" on it.
"TrayTay, I'm trying to get it to catch on," Gonzalez remarked. "No one is buying it."
There had been rumours that Swift and Kelce were dating, but when she turned up to the Bears game, the rumours really got going.
Their official status as a couple is still unknown.
Mother of Travis and Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, Donna Kelce, doesn't even appear to be aware of it or want to share.
Sincerely, I'm not sure. She said last week on NBC's "TODAY" show, "It's just too new."
"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," Swift's film, is already expected to become the highest grossing concert picture in box office history.
Beyoncé, the co-reigning music queen, made a cameo at the premiere on Wednesday, when she was in Los Angeles.
Swifties who are unable to attend the film will still have the opportunity to see the 'You Belong With Me' singer on the football pitch, which is expected to benefit 'Thursday Night Football' and its streaming service, Amazon Prime Video.
