Kerr Criticizes 'Awful' Warriors as Winning Streak Ends
Coach Steve Kerr called the Golden State Warriors "awful" after their seven-game winning streak came to an end against the Denver Nuggets in San Francisco.

Aaron Gordon scored a season-high 38 points to lead the Nuggets to a 105-114 victory despite missing star center Nikola Jokic.

It marks Gordon's greatest scoring total since joining the Nuggets from the Orlando Magic in 2021.

"We played poorly out of the gate and never found a rhythm and they played great," according to Kerr.

"The right team won.  We did not deserve anything.  "We were terrible."

Russell Westbrook, the NBA's all-time triple-double leader, recorded his 203rd by combining 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 16 assists.

The Warriors fell for only the second time in 14 games, with Jimmy Butler III scoring 23 points and Stephen Curry adding 20.

Denver remains fourth in the Western Conference, with Golden State in sixth place.

The Los Angeles Lakers, who are still without injured LeBron James, are fourth, only behind the Nuggets, after defeating the San Antonio Spurs 125–109.

Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 30 points, while Luka Doncic added 21 points, nine rebounds, and 14 assists.

The Houston Rockets rallied from a 25-point third-quarter hole to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 144-137 in overtime and remain second in the Western Conference.

The Minnesota Timberwolves also needed overtime to defeat the Indiana Pacers, 132-130, with Obi Toppin contributing 34 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists.

The New York Knicks won 116-95 over the Miami Heat to remain third in the East, while the Detroit Pistons are sixth after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 127-81.
