R-Truth Departs WWE: Behind the Scenes of His Release

WWE veteran R-Truth has confirmed his exit from the company, stunning fans.

R-Truth turned to X, formerly known as Twitter, to proclaim his resignation. He wrote, "I am sorry to notify you everyone. I was just let go from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the journey, but more importantly, I want to thank EVERYONE OF YOU who came along for the ride. Thank you for all of your love, support, and admiration over the years. "Thank you."

R-Truth, who was regarded as one of WWE's most popular talents because of his amusing personality and upbeat approach, surprised many with the decision. The shock was most likely caused by his high-profile match against John Cena last weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event.

What led to R-Truth's release from WWE?

Fightful and PWInsider were quick to confirm Truth's announcement as authentic. It was confirmed that WWE elected not to extend his contract rather than formally release him. Fightful Select followed up with more information, claiming that WWE decided without citing any wrongdoing or backstage difficulties.

The announcement startled many inside WWE, including Truth, and sparked a flood of support from other superstars who expressed concern and uncertainty. The backstage reaction has been overwhelmingly negative. According to reports, one of the top WWE stars termed the decision "total nonsense." Another characterized the company's leadership as "ruthless."

R-Truth's resignation has generated more criticism and disappointment than any other recent departure. Following his departure, various independent wrestling promoters have expressed an interest in him. At the same time, the actual date of his contract's expiration remains undetermined.

He returned to WWE in 2008, having previously worked there from 1999 to 2001. After leaving the company for the first time, he wrestled in TNA Wrestling and the NWA.

R-Truth's final WWE match was against his "childhood hero" John Cena. The pair had their aforementioned match on the most recent edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
