Senator Mike Lee Faces Backlash Over Comments on Minnesota Shootings: 'Is He Mocking?'
Utah Senator Mike Lee received anger on social media for his comments about the recent Minnesota killings, which killed former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and injured Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.  The suspect has been identified as Vance Boelter, 57.  According to officers, he posed as a police officer while wearing a mask and reportedly changing a vehicle to resemble a police cruiser.

Boelter is currently at large, and the police have initiated a big search.

Sen Mike Lee made many comments on the shootings on Sunday, leading some of his fans to feel he was ' mocking' the incidents.

"This is what happens."  "When Marxists don't get their way," Lee stated on X, the network that was previously known as Twitter.  He also tweeted a photograph of the suspect.

"Nightmare on Waltz Street," the Utah senator remarked in another post, mocking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Soon after, social media users blasted Sen. Mike Lee.

"The Darkest Timeline Numbersmuncher Mike Lee is a horrible human being ridiculing the assassination of two individuals by another Trump cult member.  "Delete your account, seek help, and reflect on the life choices that have led you to this radicalized place," one user wrote on X.

"Mike Lee has been an appalling s**t poster for quite a while now... but this is a whole new level of awful."  "He has no business being an elected official in a healthy democracy," another person said of Lee.

Sen  Mike Lee has yet to respond to the criticism.

Authorities searched a car on a remote road outside Minneapolis on Sunday that they suspect was used by Vance Boelter.  The FBI offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.  They distributed a photo taken Saturday of Boelter wearing a tan cowboy hat and encouraged the public to report any sightings.
