Tesla Enthusiasts Flock to Grand Opening of Hollywood Diner

After Elon Musk hinted that his futuristic Tesla Diner in Hollywood would soon open to the public, a lengthy queue of people gathered there on Monday.
Musk has been planning the eatery since 2018, and it will feature two drive-in movie screens and numerous electric vehicle superchargers. The saucer-shaped building combines high-tech features, Tesla-branded food containers, and a vintage American diner style.
As of Monday afternoon, excited patrons were not being admitted to the diner, despite rumors on Musk's social media platform X that it would open on Monday. According to other social media posts, the restaurant will open on Monday at 4:20 p.m.
Over the weekend, the diner, located at 7001 Santa Monica Blvd., hosted a soft opening for Southern California Tesla Club members and first responders. Videos and images taken by people who went showed waitresses on roller skates and the humanoid robot dubbed Optimus shoveling popcorn.
Musk tweeted on X early on Monday, "Tesla will open these in major cities around the world if our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will."
On Monday, a security officer outside the diner reported that he had not been given any orders to let anyone in. There is a closed fence around the restaurant. Many of the individuals in line, nevertheless, were certain that Monday was the day of opening.
On Monday morning, Miguel and Dawn Colayco traveled from their Arcadia home to the diner via train and many buses. The couple claimed to have seen several web sources verifying the diner's opening date.
While standing in line, Dawn declared, "We're big Elon fans." "There are many things he says and does that we agree with."
Before giving up, Miguel indicated they would stand in line for an hour.
