Tesla Owners: Save $20,000 on a Polestar 3 Lease Upgrade!
Some Tesla owners are more dissatisfied with Elon Musk than ever and consider abandoning the brand.  Polestar, a competitor in the EV market, is moving quickly to acquire them.

Polestar claims clients who show their household owns or leases a Tesla can save up to $20,000 on a leased Polestar 3 SUV.  I will repeat: $20,000 off.

That number requires more background.  Polestar is already offering a $15,000 incentive to prospective Polestar 3 lessees (presumably due to the advent of the government EV leasing credit).  So the "Conquest Bonus" that Tesla owners receive is a $5,000 incentive.

Still not too shabby.  The offer began on February 21 and goes till February 28.

Combined, this should significantly reduce the monthly cost of a Polestar 3 lease, which begins at $599 and includes the $15,000 cash on the hood.  Tesla buyers should be able to pay much less if they select the base, single-motor model.  A more expensive variant with dual motors and all-wheel drive is also available.

Since Musk, Tesla's CEO, increased his political activity—and, more recently, became a full-fledged government employee tasked with ruthlessly cutting spending—a boycott of the company has gained traction.  Protesters have demonstrated outside Tesla dealerships nationwide, and people like Sheryl Crow have sold their Teslas.

Polestar, a Chinese brand split off from Volvo and now owned by the Geely Group, is taking advantage of this opportunity to gain new customers.  Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller recently told Bloomberg that he sees dissatisfaction with Musk's political views as a sales opportunity.  The young EV brand may use the assistance; it faced a stumbling block and witnessed a sales decline last year.

New models such as the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 might give the brand a much-needed boost—and a large number of EV purchasers seeking a Musk-free option couldn't hurt either.
