BSE Share Price Jumps 14% Ahead of Board Meeting on Bonus Issue

BSE Share Price: On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the counter began higher at Rs 5,000, compared to the previous close of Rs 4,684.35.


BSE Share Price: BSE Ltd shares rose more than 14% on Friday, March 28, 2025. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock began higher at Rs 5,000, up from its previous finish of Rs 4,684.35.


The counter climbed further, reaching an intraday high of Rs 5,348.35, a 14.17% increase from the previous close. The stock was trading at Rs 5,303 when last spotted, remaining firmly in the green.


The rise in BSE share price occurs when the stock exchange provides an update on the bonus share issue. It has told the NSE that its board of directors will meet on Sunday, March 30, 2025, to discuss and accept the bonus proposal.

"This is in continuation to the stock exchange intimation made by the company on March 26, 2025, thereby informing that a meeting of the board of directors is scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, to inter alia, consider and approve the proposal for issue of bonus shares, subject to requisite approvals," according to the BSE.


The BSE stock trades above the 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages.


The stock's 52-week high is Rs 6,133.40, while the 52-week low is Rs 2,115. The counter reached its 52-week high this year on January 20 and its low on July 23, 2024.

The market capitalization of BSE Ltd is Rs 72,005 crore.

Over the last year, BSE shares have increased by more than 100%, with a 7.91% increase in the previous week alone. However, the stock, which is listed on the National Stock Exchange, has been down 17.89 percent in the last three months but is still up 16.59 percent in the previous six months.

The BSE has declared a dividend of Rs 15 per share with a face value of Rs 2 for the fiscal year 2024-25. Before this, the corporation had declared a dividend of Rs 12.

Meanwhile, benchmark indices fell in early trade on Friday, tracking negative patterns in global markets over concerns about Trump tariffs.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex fell 144.66 points to 77,461.77 in early trading. The NSE Nifty fell 38.7 points, reaching 23,553.25.
