iPhone 17 Series India Price Leak Reveals Launch Date & Key Specs

The iPhone 17 is likely to include the normal iPhone 17, the thinner and lighter iPhone 17 Air, the high-end iPhone 17 Pro, and the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Only a few weeks remain until Apple introduces its latest iPhones, and new leaks and reports hint at what the four upcoming flagship models may have. Apple is expected to release four different iPhone models in 2017. The lineup is expected to include the normal iPhone 17, the smaller and lighter iPhone 17 Air, the high-end iPhone 17 Pro, and the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 series is expected to include an updated version of the Dynamic Island, providing a smoother and more intuitive experience. Furthermore, both the ordinary and Pro editions are expected to acquire additional interactive features and polished visual aspects in the interface, thanks to the next-generation iOS 26 platform.

If Apple sticks to its typical release schedule, the iPhone 17 series will most likely be presented in early September. To put this in perspective, the iPhone 16 range was announced on September 9, the iPhone 15 on September 12, and the iPhone 14 on September 7. Notably, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has also hinted at September 9 or 10 as the most probable dates for Apple’s big event. Supporting this, a recently surfaced internal memo from German telecom operators points to September 9 as the launch day for the upcoming iPhones.

Apple is apparently aiming to increase the base capacity on the iPhone 17 range to 256GB, doubling it from the existing 128GB. If this upgrade occurs, industry experts believe the starting price could jump by about $50 (about Rs 4,400). In that situation, the entry-level iPhone 17 might be priced about Rs 83,300, as opposed to Rs 79,900 for the iPhone 16 model. If these leaks prove accurate, the premium models in the series are also expected to see notable price increases.Meanwhile, the all-new iPhone 17 Air is expected to cost roughly $900 (Rs 78,886), putting it above the ordinary iPhone 17 but below the Pro models, establishing a unique middle ground in the range. Because these calculations are based on U.S. pricing, estimations imply the iPhone 17 Air will cost between Rs 90,000 and Rs 1,00,000 in India.

According to leaked information, Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 series will have a significant camera boost across all four models, with a new 24MP front-facing camera replacing the 12MP sensor found on the iPhone 16 lineup. The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to feature a single 48MP rear camera, while the regular iPhone 17 is expected to retain a dual-camera system, pairing a 48MP primary sensor with a 12MP ultra-wide lens. On the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max variants are tipped to showcase a triple-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 48MP main shooter, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities.

According to leaked information, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro may have aluminum bodies, making them lighter than the titanium frames used previously. A new full-width "camera island" design is reportedly rumored. According to tipster Majin Bu, Apple may release a redesigned antenna system for the Pro model in order to boost wireless connectivity. In terms of design, the ordinary iPhone 17 is believed to come in black, white, steel grey, green, purple, and light blue, while the Pro models may come in more striking colors like black, white, grey, dark blue, and orange.
