Samsung TV Apps Down? Thousands Report Widespread Outage
It has been a frustrating day for Samsung TV users in the United States, as many smart TVs unexpectedly stopped functioning on Thursday afternoon. Streaming services like Netflix, Peacock, and YouTube TV were unable to load, leaving viewers stuck on the infuriating terms and conditions screen instead of enjoying their favorite programs. As reported by the outage-monitoring website DownDetector, more than 2,000 users have indicated problems so far. The issue seems to be widespread, affecting Samsung smart TVs across the nation.

Individuals flocked to social media to voice their anger and shock. One user tweeted: "I can't even watch TV tonight because the Samsung server is down." Another shared a particularly frustrating account: "The Samsung server isn't working. I bought a new Samsung TV from 2025 after removing a five-year-old TV that I assumed was broken. Only to find out that the server issue is still unresolved. What a tough night..."

Numerous users mentioned being sent back to the TV's terms and conditions page, with an error message stating that the Samsung server could not be accessed.

Samsung has not yet issued an official statement. Instead, the company seems to be quietly addressing complaints through private messages on social media, trying to deal with each case one at a time.

The reason for the outage remains unclear, but for now, Samsung users have to be patient and wish for their screens to function properly again. If you're facing a similar issue, you're not by yourself—and it's likely not an issue with your TV.
