"War 2 Day 1 Box Office Prediction: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR’s Action Film May Open at ₹19 Crore, Below First Part’s Record"

War 2 Box Office Collection Prediction Day 1: Director Ayan Mukerji's spy thriller, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, will enter theaters tomorrow, August 14, on the eve of Independence Day.  While the excitement is palpable, its booking suggests that its opening day domestic box office collection will pale in comparison to not only its current competition, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth's Tamil crime thriller Coolie, but also the first installment of the War franchise, which was released in 2019. 

As of Wednesday morning, War 2 is expected to open in India on Thursday for Rs 18.37 crores. This includes Rs 8.34 crore for block booking. The native Hindi version accounts for the majority of the remaining collection, which stands at Rs 6 crore throughout the 2D, IMAX 2D, 4DX, ICE, and DOLBY CINE formats. However, advanced booking for the Hindi edition began last weekend.

However, advance booking in the Telugu-speaking republics of Hyderabad and Telangana only began on Tuesday. It was supposed to start on Monday, but it was pushed back a day due to a pending state government order over ticket price increases. According to Sacnilk, once advance booking began in the two states, tickets sold at rates of up to 20,000 per hour.

As of Wednesday morning, the Telugu version of War 2 had a share of Rs 3.5 crore, followed by the original Hindi version in the 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX formats. Jr NTR's role as the film's main antagonist has boosted.
