The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with an improved 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.


The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra was released on Wednesday as the company's flagship model in the Galaxy S25 line of smartphones. At its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, the South Korean company unveiled the device, powered by a unique Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy CPU, 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. This year's model features an enhanced 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and the smartphone can capture Log video, just like Apple's iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro models.


The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, like the other two models in the upgraded series, runs One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. It also supports a new Now Brief feature that provides tailored summaries and a new Now bar on the lock screen that displays critical information in the shape of a colored pill. The company's apps have also been modified to enable Google's Gemini AI assistant, which allows users to interact with apps like Samsung Notes while using another app, such as YouTube.


Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Price and Availability Details


The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is priced at $1,299 (approximately Rs. 1,12,300) for the base model, which includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset is also available in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB, priced at $1,419 (approximately Rs. 1,22,700) and $1,659 (about Rs. 1,43,400), respectively. In India, the Galaxy S25 Ultra costs at Rs. 1,29,999.


The newly announced Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available in Titanium Black, Gray, silver, and white colors. Customers can also purchase the phones via the company's website in unique Titanium Jadegreen, Titanium black, and Titanium Pinkgold colors.


Preorders for the smartphone begin today in the United States, and Samsung claims the phones will be available starting February 7.


Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Specifications and Features


The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 15, with the company's new One UI 7 interface on top. It also supports Galaxy AI features and will receive seven years' Android OS and security updates. The handset is powered by a unique Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy CPU, 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage.


Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 6.9-inch (1,400x3,120 pixel) Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a variable refresh rate of 1Hz-120Hz and a peak brightness of up to 2,600nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2. Unlike its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra features significantly rounded sides.


The phone boasts four rear cameras: a 200-megapixel primary camera with 2x in-sensor zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS), and an f/1.7 aperture, as well as an upgraded 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view and f/1.9 aperture. It also features a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The front features a 12-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.


There is support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, UWB, GPS, and a USB Type-C connection. The device also supports Samsung's S Pen stylus and has an IP68 grade for dust and water resistance.


Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at 45W (wired, charger supplied separately). It also includes Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 (15W) and Wireless PowerShare capabilities. It measures 162.8×77.6×8.2mm and weighs 218g.
